Coal Creek Black IPA

ABV: 7.2%   IBU: 80

Coal Creek Canyon lies just north of Golden and the earliest settlers were there beginning in 1866 to work the booming coal mines of Colorado.  This black IPA is nearly black as coal with its dark roasted malts which open up a complex flavor profile.  Featuring sweet malt notes, chocolate, and hop bitterness, this seasonal IPA alludes to cold nights, warm fires, and the harshness of a winter in the Colorado mountains.
